It looks like a staircase with many steps and levels, and it us usually alive with people sitting and enjoying the sounds and the view. On this extraordinary instrument, the music is produced by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps.
It is designed by local architect Nikola Bašić and it is an architectural masterpiece that brings together the art, the architecture and the nature.
In 2006 Nikola Bašić received the European Prize for Urban Public Space in Barcelona for this project, as the best among 207 candidate projects from across Europe.
